~This Weeks Challenge~
Tag you're It
Create a project that uses a tag

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

I used Design Space for my project this week. I really need to start writing things down when I use it because I'm not sure what cartridge (image set) the rosette came from:/ The tag is from Sentimentals and the flower is from Flower Shoppe. I cut the tag at 6" so it's a good size tag.

The tag itself is a lightweight tag chipboard. I used the deep cut blade for the Explore and it worked great! The patterned paper is from Ki Memories Vintage Charm 6x6 paper pad. The solid paper is Recollections. I used Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays on almost everything. I will list the colors below.

When I used the heat gun on the flower to dry the petals it curled up like it is now. I liked the way it looked so I didn't try to put flatten it out. There is a sentiment on the upper right that says "for you". It's a Penny Black polymer stamp from the Mimi in Paris set.

Have a great week and be sure to join us for the Tag challenge at FCCB.

Lindy's Colors: Sweet Violet Purple Teal, Phantom Fuchsia, Lindy's Shamrock Green

Not a card!

This is an unusual post for me.  First of all, it's not a card.  Second, I'm entering it into more than one challenge, I don't usually manage to get that accomplished.  This is for the Simply Sunday challenge at Getting Cricky where the challenge was to make something for summer.  It's also going to the Wobble Wednesday challenge (not a card) and the Fantabulous Cricut challenge (bug).
I made this for a friend who graciously has our annual end of the year party at her house every year.  We sit on her patio and discuss the school year and laugh at the silly stories we all have.  It's a good time!

Action Wobble from the side
The flower pot is a kids pot from Walmart that has a removable liner. I traced it in the purple paper and punched some pink circles, stamped them, glued them and then put it all back together.  The flowers are all cut at 3" from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge.  The bee is cut at 3" from the Pooh and Friends cartridge and it's on an action wobble!  It's cute when it bounces around.  The stamps are from the K Andrew Designs Summertime Splash stamp set.  There are two so she can use one or both. The twine is also from Kristal, she just started carrying it, it's nice and thick and only 5 dollars for a roll! The circles on the pot were cut from one of Emma's (My Creative Time) dies.  The circle on the top was punched with a Fiskars punch.  The paper is DCWV and from one of the color packs from JoAnn's.  I don't have the package for the stamps on the pot and I don't remember where they're from.

S.O.S. Bingo

There was a 2 week challenge at Shopping our Stash that had a Bingo card you had to use to decide what was to be on your project.  I chose the diagonal line that included: yellow, pearls, FREE, ribbon, and pink.  I used a pad of paper that had both of the colors I needed in it.  The cover is off the paper so I'm not sure who made it.  It is a 6"x6" pad.  This is an A2 size card.  The background was cut to the size of the card and lightly distressed.  The paper with more design is cut at approximately 3 3/4" x 4" and also lightly distressed.  I used some green distress ink around the edges.  The ribbon is from Michael's as are the pearls (they're Recollections).  The flowers (my "FREE" item) were cut from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge.  They are the "fun" flower centers cut at 2".  There is some Viva Decor pearl pen in the center of them.

Simply Sunday at Getting Cricky - Give Thanks

Well, it's been almost a month since I posted anything. There's been a lot going on. I have made some things but haven't felt like posting, I think it's time.
The theme at Getting Cricky for this Simply Sunday challenge is give thanks. We were supposed to show something we were thankful for. Last week was my birthday and a friend organized a birthday lunch one day at school. This is for her to thank her for everything she does for me.
This is an A2 size card. The paper is K and Co. The ribbon is from Walmart. The ink is a combination of the two greens in Tim Holtz' winter collection (check out blitsy.com if you haven't already, some great deals and fast service), and the flowers were cut from the Flower Shoppe cartridge. I think I'm really going to like it! The stamps are proof of the versatility of K Andrew Designs stamps. They are from the Winter Wishes set and it's decidedly not a winter looking card. I hope everyone is having a good pre-holiday season.
