This Weeks Sponsor

And the prize is-

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project-

I used this cute hippo from the Birthday Bash cartridge. Not sure I'm happy with the white pen on the hippo, but the rest is ok. The inside says "it's your birthday!". The solid paper is Recollections, the patterned is a scrap. The ink is Tim Holtz Distress Oxide. It was interesting to watch it change colors as it dried. Have fun with this one, you can never have enough birthday cards!

Here is my project-

I chose to make a birthday card for my masculine card this week. I used vinyl for part of the sentiment since it was so thin with mixed results. I like the overall effect of it though. All the paper is Recollections, the vinyl is 651. The images are from Billionaire and Phrases. The background is all basic shape rectangles. The Cricut file is here if you would like to recreate it.

(I almost forgot to post this! My days are all messed up from being on summer break.)

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my Project:

The elephant is from the Zoobaloo cartridge. It's so cute! It's just the outline of the elephant but it made a cute birthday card with the purple behind it. The patterned paper is from my stash and the pompoms are from Webster's Pages. I had trouble with the dots...I think I stuck something in them about 4 times before they dried. It's also the reason for the jewel, big blob right in the middle of the head :/ That's the great thing about making it yourself, you can work with the mistakes and sometimes they work out for the better.

For my project this week I made a card for a friend to give to her mom by welding two base pennants from the Pretty Pennants cartridge together. I used the Floral Pennant for the flowers. The background paper for the card and both boxes is Cricut brand. The brown is Recollections and the other is from my stash. The little chocolate boxes are from the Fancy Boxes cartridge. I used vellum behind the flowers so they could be used as tea light holders after the chocolate is gone ;-).

Holiday at HIMCR

This week's challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room is any holiday. I made a super quick card with a Sizzix stamp and die set by Stephanie Barnard. I haven't had much time to craft lately but this went together really quickly. It's really basic but turned out pretty cute.

The paper is all Recollections. I used a Zig real brush marker for the feet and beak of the penguin, the rest is just ink. The snowflakes were a gift and I decided to throw a few of those on for a little sparkle.

Quick Fusion card

Hello everybody. I was in need of a few minutes of craft time today so there will be a couple of posts. This is the first of two posts. The only thing I used for this challenge was my paper cutter, a stamp from Unity Stamps, and some sequins. This card is for the Fusion Card Challenge. Here's the challenge.

I stuck mostly to the sketch but incorporated the flower idea with the paper. I think the patterned paper is Basic Grey but don't hold me to that. The yellow is Recollections.

This was a super quick card but I like how it turned out. Have a great day!

I found a cute picture on Pinterest and used it as inspiration to create my card. The boots and flowers are from the April Showers and Bloom Cricut image sets. The solid paper is all Recollections and the plaid is an old piece of Martha Stewart paper from my stash. (The gold flowers look a little brown in the picture but they aren't in person.)

Here is my project:

I made this adorable umbrella egg from the Dreaming Tree Daffodilly Spring Bundle. It was pretty easy to put together once it was all cut. The hardest part was picking the papers. (Actually, the hardest part was getting a good picture. The light was weird and I had a tough time.) I used a butterfly from the Tablescapes Sping and Summer Cricut image set that went with it perfectly. I might add a couple more before I give it to somebody.

Have a great week everyone! We are back to school after spring break which means the end of the year and graduation are quickly approaching.

Here is my project:

I used the free book treat bag from Dreaming Tree and the Shamrock from the Classroom image set for March and the tag is from Cricut Essentials. I'm probably going to fill it with candy and keep it on my desk this week since we are heading into spring break.

The paper is Recollections and I believe it is a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The brads and bling are from my stash.

Thank you with Unity

I needed to make a quick thank you card and had this beautiful stamp from Unity that I hadn't used and this is the result. It went together really quickly using some basic rectangles and a Spellbinders scalloped circle die that was just the right size. The patterned paper is from Webster's Pages.

I stamped the image with Versa Fine ink and colored it quickly with Zig real brush markers. I'm adding to the DL Art Thankful Thursday challenge as you needed to use green and I happened to do that with this card.

I made a shaker card using images from several image sets. The clown is from Create a Friend, the shape is from Elegant Edges. Love at BBTB2

It's love week at BBTB2. This post is going to be really short, it's been a crazy couple of weeks.

I took an image from Groovy Times, enlarged it and created a shaped card. It turned out pretty cute. Have a great week and come join us with your love themed goodness.

Skating at BBTB2

Susan chose the theme of ice skating this week at BBTB2. I love all of the images from the Hello Kitty Holiday image set and use them as often as possible. This is a combination of 2 images that worked well together.

All of the paper is Recollections. I used Stickles on the snow and put some green ribbon from my stash behind the snow globe for a little additional color. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder for some added texture in the background.

Come join us with your skating project.

It's time for SNOW at FCCB!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

Any project that doesn't use a Cricut element will be deleted.

Here is my project:

I used a snowflake from the Winter Lace image set and made a CAS card for this challenge. I had the Cricut write the lines on in silver marker and added some bling for a little more interest. The blue paper is pearlized so there is some shine to the card that is more visible in person.

It's Elvis' Birthday Week at BBTB2

This week we are celebrating Elvis Presley's birthday at BBTB2 by creating projects that somehow relate to the "King".

I made this card with a "hound dog" from Four Legged Friends and added the hair from Photo Booth Props and the crown from Royalty.

It's a "New" year at BBTB2

Happy New Year! Maureen chose the very apropos theme of something "new" for the first challenge of 2017 at BBTB2. My "new" is this resolution that I found on Pinterest. It's actually going into my classroom as a reminder to my students, especially the seniors, to stay on track this quarter. The third quarter is always the hardest for them.

The entire card, with the exception of the scalloped circle, is made from basic shapes. The scalloped circle is from Wild Card. The font is Dear John. I hope everyone's year is off to a great start!
