Blooming Bulb Flowers at BBTB2

Good morning and happy week after Easter. Melanie is our hostess this week at Bitten By the Bug 2 and her theme for the week is Blooming Bulb Flowers. My project is not a card for a change. I made this thank you tag for someone at work who had held a mini workshop for us before Spring Break that was very beneficial. I want to let her know how much appreciated it was.

The tag is 5" tall and is comprised of images from the Art Nouveau and Picturesque image sets. All of the paper is Recollections. I used some gold Lindey's spray on the base of the vase and clear Wink of Stella on the flowers and some of the leaves. The ribbon is from my stash. The embossing folder is from Cricut (it twisted a bit as I was embossing but it doesn't look too bad with the vase on top).

Challenge #273 at FCCB: Farm Animals

Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday...

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

This Weeks Sponsor

Winner will receive a $25.00 Gift Certificate to Verve Stamps

Make a card or projects using animals you find on a farm

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my card for the week. I used images from the Old West, Country Life, Pooh and Friends, My Quiet Book and Indie Art image sets to create it.

All of the paper is from Recollections and it is put together with a combination of Tombow mono-multi, ATG and foam tape. The fence and the animals are on foam tape for dimension.

We can't wait to see your Farm Animal projects so come and join us!

Some Green at BBTB2

Good morning! (or whatever time it is when you get here. I am the host person for the week at BBTB2 and since Thursday St. Patrick's I decided to use that as my theme for the week.

My first card is a 5 1/2" square easel card. There are images from the St. Patrick's Day, Seasonal Characters and Holidays Through the Year Iron On image sets. The cream background paper is watercolor paper and the gold in the pot is some shiny paper from my stash. The rest of the solid color paper is Recollections.

Here it is open and standing up. I may put something on the solid green, but I'm not sure yet.

I really enjoy St. Patrick's Day, so I made a second card using the same image sets.

I hope everyone has a great week and joins us for this week's fun!

3-D to Celebrate the 3rd Month

Today at BBTB2 we are celebrating March, the 3rd month, by creating 3-D projects. Since I live in Florida, and it's almost Strawberry Festival time, I decided to make this cute strawberry basket from the Spring Cottage image set.

The paper is Recollections 8 1/2" x 11" so I cut the basket at 8" to make sure it would fit on one sheet. It turned out a pretty good size. There is actually candy in the strawberries. I used the white chocolate M&M's in the strawberry shortcake flavor, they seemed appropriate. The strawberries were embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Come join us this week with your own 3-D project.
