Prom theme

This is for the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.  The current challenge is to do something Prom themed, a formal project.  I used the Forever Young cartridge for the girl.  She is cut at 4 1/4". Most of the paper is DCWV.  The background is from the Black Currant stack, I love that stack, but the designs are a little large for most cards.  The green is glitter paper and was cut from a Spellbinder die that I got from Scrapbuck.  (They have some really great deals, especially if you're on a budget!)  I'm not really sure what the dress is, it's holographic gold but all is showing a bunch of different colors reflected in it.  It's actually all one color if you look directly at it.  The flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  It didn't photograph very well because of the reflection in the dress, but it really is pretty.  I added some Stickles on the edges of the petals to give it some sparkle.

I did end up putting a white shadow behind the girl because she got lost on the background.  I did ink around the shadow in gold but it doesn't show much.  (I'm thinking it might be time for new gold ink.)  The bling is gold and matches the dress.

  1. Cute card design:) The papers are great and I really like the white shadow behind the girl-stands out so nice!

  2. Very nice card, I love her dress, great paper. The white background looks really nice, I see what you mean that it would get lost in the background. Thank you for letting me know how to post a direct link! No one else but you responded and I appreciate you... Hugs, Dawn
