Simply Sunday For the Birds at Getting Cricky

This card is for the Simply Sunday challenge at Getting Cricky with KAndrew (there's a link below). The theme was "for the birds" so I used a bird digi from the internet that I colored with Promarkers. (I can't find the digi anymore and apologize for not giving proper credit to the creator.) After coloring I used a Spellbinders Nestability to cut out the bird and the yellow mat behind it. The yellow piece is Core-dinations whitewash cardstock that I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I sanded it lightly to bring out the yellow. The background papers are from my stash. I used bakers twine at the bottom of the card. I stamped the "smile" using Tim Holtz distress ink onto one of the circles from the background paper and punched it out with a Martha Stewart punch. I am still in the learning stage with the markers but they are fun to use! I have discovered I need a few more colors to really get the shading done properly. Here's the link so you can see the other creations. Getting Cricky
