Birthday cards

I thought I would post a couple of birthday cards I've made lately with the Explore. This one is a file from Paper Crafting World. She has some really great files, go check it out! This has tags on the outside of the card but I elected to use them on the inside instead. This actually has quite a bit of dimension that doesn't show that much in the picture. There are several layers on the flower and the pearl in the center is about 1/4" high.

This one turned out pretty (it's better in person). I love that the Explore can write on projects!! I used an American Crafts marker and wrote on vellum. I created the cut in Design Space from a picture I liked on the internet. The sentiment is actually a cut file from Miss Kate's Cuttables that you can find here. I kept this one really flat so it could be mailed.

Chilly Celebrations

Welcome to the Craft with Cutters challenge at My Paper Crafting. This week we made things for Chilly Celebrations. I used the free digi from MPC that you can find here. I think it will still download for free until Thursday night. I have friends who have an anniversary this month and this is for one of them to give to the other. It's not super "chilly" but the snowflakes add a little touch of winter fun. (Admittedly it's hard to be in the winter spirit when it's hitting the 80's.)

I used the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for the background piece. It was cut at 3 1/2". There is a white shadow but it's a little hard to see in the picture. The yellow border is a Martha Stewart punch. I colorized the image using Paint Shop Pro because I wanted it to match the papers as much as it could.

Make sure you check out all of the other designers' sites, there are lots of great projects to see.
