Graduation or Thank You at BBTB2

This week at Bitten By the Bug 2 we were asked to make either a graduation card or a thank you card. Our graduation is over so I chose the "thank you" option. The flamingo craze grabbed me on this one. The flamingo on the outside is from the Nifty Fifties image set. The "thank you" is from Words and Phrases. There is a black piece behind the darker pink that you can't see. (It got lost when I was editing the image, but I don't have time to take more pictures.)

The flamingo on the inside is from the Life is a Beach image set. I hid the top layer and changed the bottom layer to write to get it to draw the bird on the card.

All of the paper is from Recollections. I used my ATG for the larger pieces and Tombow mono/multi for the smaller pieces. I've been struggling with gluing the really fine sayings and tiny pieces on my projects so I bought some of the Darice Ultratine tip applicator bottles. I didn't know what I'd been missing, they are so helpful and you can fill them with your favorite glue. You can find them here if you would like to see them (not an affiliate link).

Come join us and link up your project!

  1. I didn't realize that there is a flamingo on the Nifty Fifties cartridge. This is such a cute thank you card! I love how you finished off the inside, too!j

  2. Pinkalicious card. Love anything from Nifty Fifties. And the sentiment is hilarious. Wow we must be really late for graduation here in California. High school is next week and UC Santa Cruz is June 18th.

  3. Your card is just awesome! Flamingos are the bomb right now, that's for sure! I need to use the writing feature on my Explore more often, so thanks for the inspiration!
