Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #305-Birthdays
Make a project about anything to do with birthdays.

This Weeks Sponsor

And the prize is-

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project-

I used this cute hippo from the Birthday Bash cartridge. Not sure I'm happy with the white pen on the hippo, but the rest is ok. The inside says "it's your birthday!". The solid paper is Recollections, the patterned is a scrap. The ink is Tim Holtz Distress Oxide. It was interesting to watch it change colors as it dried. Have fun with this one, you can never have enough birthday cards!

This Weeks Sponsor

The prize is 4 digital stamps!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

Here is my project-

I chose to make a birthday card for my masculine card this week. I used vinyl for part of the sentiment since it was so thin with mixed results. I like the overall effect of it though. All the paper is Recollections, the vinyl is 651. The images are from Billionaire and Phrases. The background is all basic shape rectangles. The Cricut file is here if you would like to recreate it.

(I almost forgot to post this! My days are all messed up from being on summer break.)

Animals at FCCB

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #301-Animals
Make a project about any kind of animal-dogs, cats, horses, cows, etc!

The FCCB Design Team is sponsoring a $25 gift card at

Amazon!

Here is my Project:

The elephant is from the Zoobaloo cartridge. It's so cute! It's just the outline of the elephant but it made a cute birthday card with the purple behind it. The patterned paper is from my stash and the pompoms are from Webster's Pages. I had trouble with the dots...I think I stuck something in them about 4 times before they dried. It's also the reason for the jewel, big blob right in the middle of the head :/ That's the great thing about making it yourself, you can work with the mistakes and sometimes they work out for the better.

For my project this week I made a card for a friend to give to her mom by welding two base pennants from the Pretty Pennants cartridge together. I used the Floral Pennant for the flowers. The background paper for the card and both boxes is Cricut brand. The brown is Recollections and the other is from my stash. The little chocolate boxes are from the Fancy Boxes cartridge. I used vellum behind the flowers so they could be used as tea light holders after the chocolate is gone ;-).

Blog Candy...I know you've been wondering. Yes, there is. I am giving away another $10 gift certificate to Dreaming Tree. I love their SVG files, you can never have too many! Yep, you have to comment and subscribe to be in the drawing for the prize. Good luck!!

Holiday at HIMCR

This week's challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room is any holiday. I made a super quick card with a Sizzix stamp and die set by Stephanie Barnard. I haven't had much time to craft lately but this went together really quickly. It's really basic but turned out pretty cute.

The paper is all Recollections. I used a Zig real brush marker for the feet and beak of the penguin, the rest is just ink. The snowflakes were a gift and I decided to throw a few of those on for a little sparkle.

Quick Fusion card

Hello everybody. I was in need of a few minutes of craft time today so there will be a couple of posts. This is the first of two posts. The only thing I used for this challenge was my paper cutter, a stamp from Unity Stamps, and some sequins. This card is for the Fusion Card Challenge. Here's the challenge.

I stuck mostly to the sketch but incorporated the flower idea with the paper. I think the patterned paper is Basic Grey but don't hold me to that. The yellow is Recollections.

This was a super quick card but I like how it turned out. Have a great day!
