A character can be -- a number, a letter, a persons personality, etc., so I am showcasing what what my interpretation of a what a character is..

To be eligible for the prize
1. You must leave a comment on all the blogs in the hop
2. You must be, or become, a follower of all the blogs in the hop
We have quite a few new Design Team members and we would ask that you give them some bloggy love and welcome them.

You should have arrived here from Karla ------- http://creative-love-affair.blogspot.ca/. If not, and you want to start at the beginning, go to  Fantabulous Cricut Challenge.com.

Here is my inspiration for you

I recently purchased the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge and decided this would be a good time to use it. Cookie turned out really cute, and I love the box. I'm sure I will be making more of them. All of the card stock is Recollections and the twine is from my stash.

The box comes in 2 sizes. I used the larger one for this project. This is two pieces of 8.5" x 11" card stock, so it will hold quite a few cookies :-)

I used red-line tape to hold the box together. It's always a good idea to use something pretty strong if you're going to actually use the item. I just used Tombow mono-multi for the window because it doesn't actually move.

Here it is before adding Cookie Monster.

I used the scoring tool to add a little bit of a furry look to Cookie. It worked pretty well (sorry about the picture...my camera didn't like taking the close up).

If you would like to create this box, here is a link to the Design Space file. Cookie will cost $$ if you don't already own him as he is a licensed image. The box is part of the subscription.

I also have a little blog candy to give away. You will receive a $10.00 Michael's gift card if you are chosen as the winner on my blog. I really love how the Recollections card stock cuts in the Explore and use it almost exclusively. You can try it for yourself if you haven't already, or put the money toward something you've been wanting. (If you don't have a Michael's close by we'll work something out.) Please make sure you follow the rules above to be eligible.

Now that you have seen my character go visit Liz at her blog Unik by YES and check out her amazing creativity. There is a  list of all the designers on the blog hop below

Happy Hopping

  1. Like the Cookie Monster. LIke the fun treat box. There was a special on tv recently where one of the people that plays a Sesame Street character revealed who he is. Not recalling which character at the moment.

  3. Cookie Monster on a cookie container, doesn't get much better than that! It's just perfect. Thanks for sharing and giving an opportunity for a Micheal's gift card. I've used the recollection paper with my explore and like it too.
