This week Susan is our host and she chose snowflakes for the theme at BBTB2. Dancing winter snowflakes, to be more specific.
My project is pretty simple. I seem to be having trouble making anything very fancy lately. My snowflake is kind of "dancing" in the window of the card. I created the base by slicing a circle out of the base from Creative Holiday Cards. I then made another layer a little smaller to go over the front. There is vellum between the layers. Part of the snowflake is on the back of the circle and part is on the front. The white piece is embosses with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The silver string around the window is from Michael's.
The snowflake itself is from the Sesame Street Seasons image set.
I hope everyone has a good week, and those of you effected by the blizzard start to dig out!
What a lovely card!! Love how you did your snowflake!!! Such pretty paper, too!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis card is anything but simple Lynn! I love the way you sliced out the circle but yet put vellum in between the layers. I will have to try that! I love your snowflake floating in the window, it is so pretty as is the papers you used. Besides, simple over fancy is always best to me! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteyou call it simple, I'll call it elegant!!! so pretty - although I bet there are a lot of people on the east coast who don't like snow right now. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty!! I love the polka dots and the embossing! I think the simplest cards are the most beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove how you did the vellum between the layers-very cool effect! Simple is the prettiest, much of the time.
