Welcome Fall at BBTB2

The challenge this week at BBTB2 is to use the word "fall" or "Autumn" in your project. I picked up a couple of chargers at Michael's when they were on sale a couple of weeks ago. I used permanent vinyl to create the picture on the bottom.

I had a hard time getting a good picture. The dark brown still doesn't show well. The fonts were Winter Woodland and Harrington. The acorns and leaves are from Celebrate with a Flourish. I did cut more leaves to add to the rim but chose not to use them. I may add them later, but I like the simplicity of this.

Make a fall project this week and come join the fun!

Shape it up!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #261-Shape Up
Make a Shaped Card (anything but a square or rectangle)

This Weeks Sponsor
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For this challenge, it is for a shaped card, therefore no extra chances of winning.

My project for this week is a baby shower invitation made using an image from Bridal and Baby Soirees. One of the teachers I work with is having a baby and I am planning the shower.

The little flower is from Create a Critter.

She is having a girl but painted the room orange and grey. I tried to get a little of everything in the invites. All I have to do now is fill the information slots.

There are a lot of cute shaped cards available in image sets. Find one, or create your own, and come join us!

It's cookie day!

It's National Pecan Cookie Day (who knew!), and we are celebrating with all things cookie at Bitten by the Bug 2. I used a quote from the cookie guru himself, Cookie Monster! I love the quote, but I'm not super thrilled with the card. I think it needed an embossing folder or a smaller pen, not sure which. I guess it's just not how I wanted it to look.

I used images from the Bits and Pieces, Home for the Holidays Spring, and From My Kitchen cartridges. The paper is all Recollections.

Have a great week, and come join us with your own cookie project.

Labor Day at BBTB2

This week's challenge at BBTB2 is focusing on Labor Day. We were to make something relating to a job/career.

I chose this little guy from Paper Dolls for Everyday. There is a big push for STEM education in schools right now and this reminded me of that. Also, my son is taking a chemistry class this semester to see if that's where his life is headed. (Plus I thought he was adorable.)

There is a little Glossy Accents on the beaker to make it look more bubbly. I also actually used washi tape on this, which is rare.

Come join us for some fun with a project showing your favorite job.

Round easel card

Love 3 day weekends, I can take some time to craft for fun. I'm joining in on the round easel card challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I loved it so much I made 3. That's what great about Design Space, you can create a basic card and just change a few things to end up with completely different looks.

This one is a birthday card for a fellow teacher. She looks forward to her card every year and I hope she likes this one.

I made a couple of extra fall themed cards to keep handy for other fall occasions. I saved the file so I can make more if I want to.

Fart - LOL

The current challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is F is for Fart. I love some of the things they come up with, so much fun.

This is the outside of my card, it's deceptively classy ;-)

Then there is the inside. HA! And sometimes it's just what you have to do.

The stamp is on the inside. It's a Graphic 45 stamp from Hampton Arts. The image on the front is from the Cricut Suburbia image set. This was a fun card to make and I have the perfect person to give it to.
