Jaded Blossom

Winner will receive the Conversation Candies stamp set

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Be sure to visit the FCCB blog to view the other DT members' projects and to join in the challenge.

Here is my project for this week:

It's been Florida cold (it actually froze a couple of nights) the last week or so which makes it so much easier to think about snowmen!

I used the wonderful Doodlecharms cartridge for the snow globe and cut it at 3 1/2".  The snowman is from Stretch Your Imagination and was cut at 2" (some of those pieces are itty-bitty!). The blue paper is the super glittery stuff from DCWV. The shine just doesn't show well in pictures. I put some Glossy Accents on the base of the snow globe to give it some dimension. There is some silver glitter pen on some of the dots in the background to mimic snow.

We have the day off school today to celebrate Martin Luther King day, I plan on enjoying it! I hope everyone has a great week!

~New Design Team Announcement~

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday and that Santa left you all some crafty love in your stockings! We are very excited to announce our new design team members.  To celebrate we are having a blog crawl, which is FCCB's version of a blog hop.
If you get  lost along the way, the lineup is listed below. Once you've done the crawl, make a project using a sentiment and add it below.

Emily Mollie's Blog
Faith Scrapbooker PhD
Jackie Luv 2 Scrapp
Elizabeth Unik by Yes
Jilliene Jilliene Designs

Here is my project:

I used the Suburbia cartridge for my lady and the sentiment. The silhouette is cut at 3 1/4" and the sentiment was cut at 3/4".  I'm trying to break out of my comfort zone this year and use colors and things that I wouldn't normally pick. The background behind the silhouette is a green color that is not one of my favorites, but it went quite nicely with the purple. After I embossed that piece, I decided to use the debossed side for a more retro look. I cut 2 strips of the border with a MS punch and layered and offset them. The pearls are K & Co.

I will keep this short because I know there are many great stops on this crawl so go and enjoy! Your next stop is Michelle Just a Nutter Papercrafter.  If you get lost along the way you can always go to Fantabulous Cricut and find the main crawl list (like the one above). Enjoy and welcome to the new DT members.
