ATC Day

Hi all!

Today is Tag/ATC day at My Paper Crafting  and I used one of Melin's digital stamps for my ATC. It's called "Bear I Heart USA" and can be found here. It's really cute! I used the pre-colored version since I haven't colored for quite a while now.

I used my photo editor and printed it out at a size that was perfect for an ATC. One of the things I love most about digital stamps is that you can resize them to fit your project. I know it's a little too thick again, but I'm all that worried about it. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and those in the US have great 4th of July holiday!

Bittersweet day..

Today is my last design team post for My Paper Crafting and I must say I am a more than a little sad. Melin and my fellow DT members are wonderful and I'm going to miss working with them.

I'm even more sad since my card didn't turn out as well as it could have and I didn't leave myself enough time to fix it properly. I have been having some major lack of crafting mojo issues lately so decided to let the cartridge do the work for me. This is the first time I've used my Art Deco cartridge and the top is a little wonky. I guess I'm going to have to play with it some more. There are many layers on some of these cuts so the card front is very thick (9 or so layers on this one). I like the overall concept, but I will definitely play with it more later to see if I can get it to work correctly. The papers are a combination of DCWV and stuff from Tuesday Morning. The button is from my stash (it matches better in person). The really great thing about this particular cut was that there was a card base to match. I cut the whole thing at 5" which is the smallest recommended size for this cut.

Today they announced all of the administration changes at my county's schools and one of our Assistant Principals is being moved to another school. I will probably end up giving this to him (or one similar to it). He has been at my school since I started there and he will be missed.

It seems to be a time of change in many areas. Things will change at work and they are changing at My Paper Crafting as well. It is part of life but that doesn't always mean it's easy. Thank you to all of my DT peeps, and a special thanks to Melin for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful group! Have a great day everyone.

"Sun"ny ATC

Hi all, long time no post. Sorry about that:/

The Tag/ATC theme for the week at My Paper Crafting is Sun (in case you didn't read the big title above, lol). Here is my little creation. My mojo has been all but gone lately so I let the paper do most of the work for this ATC.

The sun was cut at 1 1/2" from the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge. The patterned paper is from a 6x6 pad I picked up at WalMart recently. It's paper weight, not card stock weight, so it didn't add too much  bulk to the ATC. I cut the ray piece so it looked like the sun was in the right spot. The green was punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch and I stuck some little adhesive backed rhinestones in the centers for some interest. Not very fancy but it's still pretty cute and very sunny. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Ribbons ahead

Happy June! It's my first post since the start of the new month, 2013 is flying by. The challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut is Ribbons, Ruffles and Bows. I chose to go with the ribbons for my card today.

Our school had graduation this week so it was a busy one which made for less crafting time. My card is  pretty basic. I think I took more time looking for paper than anything. I used the Heritage cartridge and cut the cameo at 3 1/4". The background was cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge at 5". There is some green in the patterned paper but it doesn't show well in the photo. The lace/ribbon is from Michael's. I layered 2 rows of lace down the center of the card and then placed the velvet ribbon on top. The patterned paper is from Prima and the solid is stash. The buttons and pearl are from my stash. I inked around the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress ink although it doesn't show up much. ( I really need to figure out the lighting for my pictures:/)

I hope everyone has a great day! (Be sure to stop at all of the DT members blogs and leave them some love, we all appreciate it!)
