Rain....

Hi everyone. Today the theme at My Paper Crafting is rain, something we have had very little of lately. I used the Serenade cartridge for most of the cuts and the Pooh and Friends cartridge for the grass.

This was one of those cards that didn't come together on the first try. I made it once, didn't like the way it looked, tore it apart and redid the background. It looks a lot better, trust me. It's amazing how much difference a little embossing can make.

The top layer of each of the cut out items are cut from pearlized paper from The Paper Studio. (It's a little hard to tell in the picture.) The background was embossed with the D'vine Swirls folder and the corners were punched with a Martha Stewart corner punch. The little gems in the corners are from my stash.

I hope everyone has a great day!

  4. Wonderful card, Lynn! The embossing adds a nice touch and mimics the swirls on your cuts from the Serenade cartridge.
