Graduation

I made these for some of my students for graduation.  They are post-it note holders that they can use when they go to college (these particular students are headed there, yea!).  The cover from the larger one is cut at 3 1/4" x 4" and the smaller is 2 1/4" x 2 1/2".  I used medium weight chipboard that I got from JoAnn's.  I inked around the edges and covered them with paper I got from Tuesday Morning.  It's the 7 Gypsies Paddington collection.  I really like it and may have to get another stack.  It worked well for these projects as black is one of our school colors.
I used the Flower Shoppe and Quarter Note Cricut cartridges for these projects.  They are bound with a Bind-it-all with 1/2" black wire.  I did have to loosen the wire a little to make the larger one close properly.  The ribbon is from Walmart and the bling is from Creative Charms.

It will be a bittersweet day tomorrow as the seniors leave school for the last time.  There will be hooting and hollering and more than a few tears as another class moves on to begin their adult lives.

I am going to enter these into the Fantabulous Cricut challenge even though they don't have a graduation cap on them.

  2. Very elegant -- how sweet of you to think of your students, especially at a time of year when you're probably swamped! Thanks for joining us at FCCB this week.
